ERISA: Who, What and Why

The attorneys in Fox Rothschild's Labor and Employment Department invite you to join them for this complimentary CLE program for in-house counsel. Join us for an introduction to ERISA, some of its most common concepts and its impact on employers as sponsors of benefit plans. Our speaker, Keith McMurdy, will provide attendees with a basic understanding of the complexities of this often misunderstood area of the law. We'll discuss what plans are covered, how preemption works and who may be a fiduciary under the applicable law. We'll also cover what ERISA generally means as well as some of the key terminology that will help you understand the general operation of employee benefit plans.
