A Due Process Hearing is the most formal way to resolve a disagreement over the identification, evaluation, program or placement of a child regarding special education and related services. It is the final step in the resolution process, and can be compared to a trial in civil court.
This seminar is designed to improve the skills of attorneys who handle or may want to handle special education due process hearings. Through discussion, facilitated by a panel of professionals, attendees will work through the stages of a due process hearing, including complaints, motions, preparation of witness testimony, direct and cross examination and objections.
