Short term marriages have their own particular issues. This seminar will address:
- The types of alimony, if any, are appropriate in the context of short term marriages;
- The key considerations when attempting to equitably distribute property when there is a short term marriage.
- What equitable remedies are available to unmarried cohabitants, especially in light of the new statute requiring palimony agreements to be in writing.
